The Coastal Peace, Digitalization and Fishery Co-Management Initiative is implemented by IFES Institute in partnership with the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MoFMR), Puntland, with institutional support for advancing sustainable fisheries governance, coastal peace, and collaborative resource management.
The initiative brings together fisheries co-management, peacebuilding, and digitalization to strengthen participation, information-sharing, transparency, and sustainable management of coastal resources. It represents IFES’s integrated approach to addressing environmental, governance, livelihood, and peacebuilding challenges simultaneously.
The project directly contributes to IFES’s “Fisheries as a Tool for Peace” framework and its commitment to innovation, digital transformation, sustainable fisheries, and community-led governance.
